Some Chinese fentanyl-precursor suppliers reportedly sell bootleg peptides to Americans

The Wall Street Journal reports that a growing number of Chinese companies that have supplied fentanyl precursors to drug cartels are selling unregulated peptides. The products are advertised as promising to tan skin, repair tissue or help with weight loss. TRM Labs told the Journal that at least 50 of the more than 200 companies it tracks that have sold fentanyl precursors were selling peptides. Cryptocurrency payments it traced showed buyers in the U.S. and elsewhere.
