SpaceX’s AI unit is reportedly selling computing power to outside customers

The Information reports that Elon Musk initially rejected the idea of turning xAI into a cloud provider. SpaceXAI is now selling computing power to outside customers and urgently needs more capacity to meet incoming commitments, the outlet says. Citing people familiar with the matter, it also says SpaceX’s AI unit held talks over the summer about leasing computing capacity to Microsoft.
