Intel agrees to buy Israeli quantum software startup Classiq

Bloomberg reports Intel agreed to buy Classiq Technologies as it pushes into quantum computing, a nascent field seeking commercial applications. The purchase price was not disclosed. Barron’s describes the acquisition as a bid to turn Intel’s quantum effort into a mainstream computing business, but questions whether the deal will be enough to make it a powerhouse.
