Charter targets $2 billion in annualized cost cuts as internet customer losses widen
The company plans to revamp internet sales and lean more on mobile and video to attract and retain customers.
TLDR
Charter is targeting $2 billion in annualized operating savings over 18 months, alongside changes to internet sales and greater reliance on mobile and video. Third-quarter internet customer losses reached 233,000 on a pro forma basis, versus 171,000 a year earlier, while video losses narrowed. The savings target is separate from more than $1 billion in anticipated Cox merger benefits; neither represents savings already achieved.
