US aircraft disables cargo vessel in Gulf of Oman

An American aircraft fired precision munitions at the ship's stern on November 7 after US forces directed its crew to abandon targeted spaces, Central Command said. The military described the vessel as trying to break the US blockade of Iran. It also announced a task force to restrict advanced weapons and other sanctioned material moving over Iran's land borders and through the Caspian Sea.
