DR Congo opens mining fraud inquiry after copper and cobalt seizures

Authorities seized thousands of metric tons of copper and cobalt, along with more than 500 trucks, before the justice minister ordered investigations into suspected fraud and smuggling. A government mission made seizures at several mining sites, including Menda. A separate task force seized more than 500 pieces of mining equipment at Boss Mining's Menda concession.
