Coal supplies to Indian power plants reportedly up 9% in October from September levels

The Economic Times, citing the coal ministry, reports that coal supplies to Indian power plants rose 9% in October compared with September levels. It says supplies to the power sector were around 36% higher than earlier September lows, while daily depletion of coal stocks at plants had declined. The ministry was closely monitoring critical stock levels at various plants.
