Nepal and China discuss reopening the Tatopani border crossing

PTI reported in The Economic Times on October 7 that Nepal was in talks with Chinese officials to reopen Tatopani, a trade crossing with Tibet. Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal told a parliamentary committee that Nepal's road had reopened, but the Chinese side did not yet appear ready to resume operations. Chinese authorities had suspended the crossing since August 26 following floods and landslide risks.
