The Information reports Instacart is exploring a sale and has held preliminary talks with Uber and DoorDash. It says a typical takeover premium could value the company at $16 billion to $17 billion. Bloomberg, citing a person familiar with the matter, reports Uber walked away and the two sides are no longer in talks. Bloomberg also says Instacart shares surged after The Information’s report.
