India eases customs paperwork for UK imports seeking preferential tariffs
The Economic Times reports that a valid origin declaration from UK exporters will generally suffice to prove origin for importers seeking preferential tariffs under the India-UK trade agreement.
TLDR
The Economic Times reports that CBIC no longer requires Form-I for routine import declarations seeking preferential tariffs under the India-UK trade deal. Previously, the form was required with every Bill of Entry for such claims. A valid origin declaration from UK exporters will generally suffice to prove origin.
