UK allows recognized modern slavery victims on Skilled Worker visas to leave abusive employers without losing immigration status

The Economic Times reports that once the Home Office formally recognizes someone on a Skilled Worker visa as a modern slavery victim, they are no longer tied to a specific sponsor. They can leave an abusive employer, take up any lawful work and retain their immigration status for the remainder of their visa. The change covers workers on the Skilled Worker route, including care workers.
