Reuters reports that OpenAI told investors its September annualized revenue was almost $50 billion, after previously indicating a run rate approaching $70 billion for the month. A person familiar with the matter attributed the gap mainly to an attempt to compare OpenAI’s figures with rival Anthropic’s. The Financial Times first reported the latest figure, and OpenAI did not respond to Reuters’ request for comment.
