Dangote’s planned Lamu Island refinery will likely rely on seaborne crude imports

Semafor reports that Aliko Dangote’s planned refinery on Kenya’s Lamu Island will likely have to rely on crude shipped in by sea. Uganda remains non-committal on the project and has instead pledged its oil to refineries in Uganda and Tanzania.
