SpaceX reportedly used tourist videos to track debris from a 2025 Starship explosion

ProPublica reports that a SpaceX report to the FAA used tourist and traveler videos to help track debris after Starship’s seventh test flight exploded over the Caribbean in 2025. The FAA heavily redacted the report, including SpaceX’s estimates of where debris fell. The visible portions do not show whether the debris landed where SpaceX and the FAA expected.
