India and Japan discuss closer cooperation on road infrastructure

The Economic Times, with inputs from PTI, reports that India and Japan discussed closer road-infrastructure cooperation at the 12th session of their joint working group on roads and road transportation. India’s road transport minister, Nitin Gadkari, called for modern, safe and sustainable roads. The two sides explored opportunities to collaborate on planning, construction, operation and maintenance.
