Virgin Media O2 reportedly preparing thousands of job cuts

Virgin Media O2 is reportedly preparing to cut thousands of jobs, with one insider suggesting as many as 4,000 of its 16,000 employees could be affected. The figures aren't final. Most affected roles are expected to be non-customer-facing, and the company is expected to review its contractors and suppliers. A financial cost-reduction target is expected with its third-quarter results. Virgin Media O2 declined to comment on the redundancy plans.
