Birkin resale premiums reportedly shrink as second-hand supply grows

Reuters reports that six of nine Birkin resellers it interviewed said resale prices fell over the past year as more bags became available; five reported softer demand. Bernstein found Birkin 25 resale prices averaged about 1.7 times retail in the third quarter of 2026, down from about 2.6 times at their 2022 peak. Not every reseller saw a decline: Fashionphile’s founder said prices on its platform held firm or rose slightly in 2026.
