Mondelez sues UK vegan chocolatier over alleged Toblerone lookalike

Bloomberg reports that Kraft Foods Schweiz Holding, part of Mondelez, filed a UK intellectual property claim on October 15 against Catherine’s Originals over its vegan O’bar chocolates. Mondelez claims the bar’s shape is too similar to Toblerone’s; Catherine’s Originals founder Catherine Dodd disagrees, saying its peaks are rounder and reflect her brand’s “O” theme. Mondelez says months of talks failed to resolve the dispute.
