Wildlife Photography Community Guidelines
Stay on topic. Wildlife photos, field techniques, gear talk, location tips, and ethics discussion all belong here.
No captive animals. Keep 'em wild.
Be respectful. Critique the image, not the photographer.
Participate in good faith. Share what you know. If you're guessing about a species or location, say so.
Commercial posts welcome, with conditions. Working photographers and workshop leaders can post. But contribute beyond self-promotion. Answer questions. Share techniques. If your only posts are about your business, that's spam.
No low-effort ads. "Book my workshop!" with a link isn't a contribution.
Credit your work. Your photo? Say so. Someone else's? Credit them. No stealing images.
No AI-generated images. This is a community for real photos of real wildlife.
Ethics matter. No baited shots presented as wild. No harassing animals for the shot. Be honest about methods.
Keep debates productive. Gear arguments are fine. Getting personal isn't.
