The Bangs (before they became The Bangles) first single, 1981, Downkiddie Records

Before they hit it big as The Bangles, they were "The Bangs." Susanna Hoffs, Debbi and Vicki Peterson, and Annette Zilinskas was the original lineup. Annette left the band before they got big. Micki Steele (formerly of the Runaways) replaced Annette on bass, as they renamed as The Bangles.

I bought their first single, "Getting Out of Hand" backed with "Call On Me" in early 1982. I think I paid three bucks for it at Music Market, in Costa Mesa, CA. It was a pretty DIY affair, with a simple single-folded xeroxed sleeve. No idea if it's worth more these days, but it is pretty rare, as not many of these original singles were ever printed.
