SkyDrive showcases its SD-05 flying car at Expo 2025 in Osaka, highlighting its electric, quieter, and safer design compared to helicopters and drones. Demonstrations run until August 24, with schedules on X.
This video features on-flight footage of the SkyDrive SD-05 flying car. The footage was captured during a demonstration flight for the 2025 Japan International Exposition, showcasing the vehicle developed by SkyDrive Inc., a company specializing in flying cars and drone services. The major differences from a helicopter are (1) the number of propellers, (2) being fully electric, and (3) the noise level. Unlike a standard drone, it has redundancy in all parts to ensure the same level of safety as an aircraft. In preparation for the societal implementation of flying cars, we aim to start our service around 2028 and expand it sequentially from 2030 onward.
