Why are so many organisations leaving?
There could be many reasons behind organisations leaving X (Twitter) but BBC describes some real ones that should be taken into consideration.
Many organizations, including Queen's University Belfast and Belfast City Council, have stopped using their X accounts due to concerns about the platform's AI tool Grok creating sexualized images and the increase in hate speech and unregulated comments. The Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action and the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland also stopped posting on X, citing a lack of sanctions for distasteful commentary and hate speech. Belfast City councillors voted to suspend the council's X account pending an Ofcom review of Grok AI.
