Amazon Is Closing Its Fresh Grocery, Go Convenience Stores

Amazon is closing its Amazon Fresh and Amazon Go stores, with some locations being converted into Whole Foods Market stores. The company cited the lack of a distinctive customer experience and the right economic model for large-scale expansion. Amazon will continue to invest in groceries sold both online and offline, including more produce and perishables in its delivery warehouses and at Whole Foods stores.
