Instagram will alert parents if teens repeatedly search for suicide or self-harm content

Instagram is introducing a new alert system for parents of teen users. If a teen repeatedly searches for terms related to suicide or self-harm, the parent will receive a notification and can access resources for discussing these topics with their child. This feature will first roll out in the US, UK, Australia, and Canada, with plans to expand to other regions.
