TLDR

Watch Duty provides real-time wildfire maps, alerts, and flight tracking, along with air quality, evacuation orders, and photo submissions to aid in firefighting efforts.

I've just been watching a YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANJNdk0Zzx0) about an ex tech guy that bought land and built a home. He also built WatchDuty a not for profit company that maps out all the wildfires in the US (not all states from what I understand). This is obviously close to home for Kevin so thought I'd share. The video is really interesting too. He has a great house, which uses Home Assistant (but not for lights - he doesn't have a problem walking to the light switch). It's a great watch and also a great website. You may already know about this, I didn't but I live in the UK. Hopefully it's useful to at least one other person. It might save your life. What else is interesting is that the emergency services use the platform too which is crazy. As the guy says, what is all the money that's given to the emergency services used for if they use his platform for tracking wildfires. Make sure you watch the YouTube video too.
