404 Media discovered that ICE and CBP officials, including one involved in a shooting incident, use the Zello app to coordinate operations. This app, previously used by January 6 insurrectionists, has channels linked to ICE activities. Bodycam footage from Chicago confirmed CBP officials using Zello. The app, which has 5 million active monthly users, offers both free and paid versions.
