Anthropic plans AI policy outreach to 2028 presidential candidates

Fortune reports that Anthropic is hiring a Political Programs lead to build its presidential engagement program for the 2028 election cycle. The job posting says the role will offer AI policy education to candidates and advisers in both parties on equal terms, prepare executives for those talks and run Anthropic’s political giving. Sen. Alex Padilla urged the company to share more details, warning that education and influence are not the same thing.
