Within ~5 years, probably ~5 times as many satellites as rest of world
They did it.
SpaceX has now launched more satellites than the rest of humanity, combined, all time.
SpaceX has crossed a cumulative threshold where its total satellites launched now edge past every other operator in history combined, a shift powered almost entirely by the ongoing Starlink rollout and the company's breakneck launch rate that already topped the rest of the planet in 2025 alone.
Within ~5 years, probably ~5 times as many satellites as rest of world
They did it.
SpaceX has now launched more satellites than the rest of humanity, combined, all time.
The milestone tallies every satellite ever sent up, even those later replaced or deorbited, rather than only the ones still circling today, which leaves the exact split sensitive to how trackers log failures and retirements.
Talk of SpaceX reaching five times the rest of the world's satellites by 2029 circulates in posts but lacks a primary source tying Elon Musk to that precise timeline, so the projection sits more as an ambitious sketch than a locked-in target.
Positive users celebrate SpaceX surpassing the world in total satellites launched as impressive space dominance, while negative users direct personal insults and threats at Elon Musk.

@elonmusk Growing by the day!

@elonmusk One like is all it takes Elon ❤️

@elonmusk trying to count SpaceX satellites like:

@elonmusk Will we all get our own personal satellite?

@elonmusk I love to see people think big, the future belongs to those who refuse limit. 🚀

【⛩️ Shrine Azan Man – 3rd Incident Breaking Now】
🚨 WAKE-UP CALL 🚨
In the next five years, the number of radical Islamist fundamentalists and internationally designated terrorist cult members inside Japan is set to explode — to around five times what it is now.
This is no longer a distant threat. Britain has already seen what happens when we ignore it. How long will Japan wait before it’s too late? Share this before it gets buried.
——————————————————
This is the THIRD time 🗯️
Three deliberate acts of desecration at Japanese shrines and war memorials 💢
Miyazaki International University assistant professor Kenji Saietto has once again violated Japan’s sacred sites 😡
Previous incidents: ① Blasted the Azan at full volume inside Namikiri Shrine, Miyazaki ② Trampled a war memorial in Yufue, Kumamoto with shoes on while chanting the Azan
And now the 3rd time: He did it again at Kasuga Shrine in Izumisano, Osaka — a historic shrine founded in the 8th century (770-780).
The university is trying to sweep it under the rug with a weak “freedom of religion” statement.
This is NOT freedom of religion.
This is repeated, intentional cultural desecration and insult to Japan.
A naturalized Japanese citizen traveling across the country just to desecrate shrines and war memorials? Unforgivable.
University must fire him immediately. Authorities must take firm action.
We cannot allow this blasphemy to continue.

@elonmusk What won't Mr. Musk have covered? ; )))))

@elonmusk @khoi366336 this

This episode hits different every single time 😭
Getting rejected by the person you admire most is brutal… but turning that exact pain into rocket fuel is what made SpaceX possible today.
Absolute masterclass in resilience. What’s the biggest “I’ll prove you wrong” moment that changed your life? Drop it below 👇 #SpaceX #Resilience

@elonmusk Elon is probably looking at Mars right now thinking, "Yeah, I can definitely buy the DLC for this planet." 😂 is it true @elonmusk ?

@elonmusk Actually, I think Elon is low-balling. Others can only have 16+% of the satellites if SpaceX is transporting most of them to LEO and beyond. That's actually part of the business case for SpaceX. But are these future customers scaling fast enough?

@elonmusk The next 25 years will be epic

@elonmusk So...my question would be this, "What is the tipping point for too many satellites in orbit?" Please explain. There is a number. What is it?

@elonmusk Make sure u plan for Space debris cleanup, just saying

@elonmusk That's yuuuge Elon now would you like to have this item to celebrate?
$MCDOGE

@elonmusk I love to see people think big, the future belongs to those who refuse limit. 🚀

Yes, just like Wal-Mart putting all small business owners out of business Starlink putting all of us smaller ISPs out. I understand that this is capitalism but even if my service is faster and cheaper we can't compete with unlimited amount of funds and advertising that goes into Starlink.

@elonmusk For 65 years, the world has built 15,138 satellites. SpaceX said: keep my rocket. 🚀 😄

@elonmusk @Kristennetten Crazy where orders of magnitude thinking and grounding everything in truth can take you.

@elonmusk Humanity has nothing to do with anything. 🚀🌌 The space race is all about control—who can control how much, and who can influence how much? 🛰️🧐 These big words they throw around, like 'humanity' and 'freedom,' are just tools to control a large proportion of the population.🌍
