In others, such as Clara's example of literary magazines, they're considered ritually unclean. I unfortunately think that one of the reasons the halls of power are so misinformed about the technological frontier is they trust people who are, for ideological reasons, blind to it.
I describe a bit of a culture gap between Internet-native writers / the general tech exigesis and prestige media organizations, and Clara describes one within the prestige media, with respect to usage of LLMs. In some places they're routine and indispensable tools already.
