Reporters placed a tracking device inside a rare book shipment to identify the buyer. The device led to Amazon's VGT3 facility in Las Vegas. The 404 Media article states that Amazon scans and destroys books at the site. Multiple posts on X reference the same investigation and the facility's reported activities. The original bookseller had suspected bulk purchases for AI data use.
