@Miles_Brundage Both are trying to increase market share but every Fable access extension is coming from scarcity and looks desperate, and every codex limit reset is coming from abundance we have so much compute here take more of it and keep building cool stuff
@Miles_Brundage The Codex resets are actively saving me money and showing me that OpenAI has a plan. Whatever Anthropic is doing feels like games meant to separate me from my time and money.
@Miles_Brundage @giffmana Anthropic deliberately created a false sense of scarcity to motivate people to use Fable under the false pretense that it was going away.
@Miles_Brundage I did actually cancel my Anthropic over it...and I might just stay at OpenAI now. (Even though I find Fable somewhat better still)
@Miles_Brundage one is proactive the other is reactive that’s the difference being generous vs being fearful your customers will not return
@Miles_Brundage OpenAI is additive, Claude is removing features paid for with plan.
I don’t see why some OpenAI people think the Fable access extension is somehow different from the cutesy Codex limit resets every two seconds You are both companies trying to increase market share + win Twitter vibe wars
@Miles_Brundage I don't see how giving the donkey a carrot every 5m to make it walk is different from hitting it with a stick in the back every 5m. Both just self-servingly want to make it walk!

@giffmana What’s the hitting the donkey here? I am referring to surprise-extending Fable
