Default speed for GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol is said to be about 50% faster

On October 5, the team said it had optimized default speed for GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol to be about 50% faster across its subscription products and Sign in With ChatGPT partners, including OpenCode, Pi, Amp and Devin. It said users needed no changes and should feel the improvement within two hours. The update followed an October 4 pledge to ship a daily improvement for most Codex/work users or a “full reset” over 28 days.
