OpenAI Introduces Rosalind Workbench for Biologists
OpenAI researcher Joy Jiao unveils the tool while early testers report strong results on research papers.
Joy Jiao, Life Sciences Research Lead at OpenAI, posted that she is introducing Rosalind Workbench for biologists built directly into Codex. Derya Unutmaz, a professor of immunology, stated she has been early-testing the Rosalind model and found it fantastic for biomedical research. She said it helped her completely revise a paper on cancer immunotherapy and greatly improved the data analysis in the manuscript. She added that the model performed better than GPT-5.6 Pro. Andrew Mayne, a former OpenAI engineer, retweeted her post.
