Sony unveils transparent DualSense controllers and matching PS5 covers in Prism Collection

Sony announced the Prism Collection on October 28: transparent DualSense wireless controllers and matching PS5 console covers in Flare Orange, Emerald Green and Graphite Gray. This is an unveiling, not a release. Sony plans to make the accessories available starting February 4, 2027.

In the PlayStation Blog announcement, Sony designer Leo Cardoso said the team wanted to revisit the see-through hardware trend of the late 1990s while complementing the PS5’s design. Fellow designer Satoshi Aoyagi said the controller’s high-gloss clear finish extends across its back, giving players a look at some of the technology inside. He also described a metallic finish on the controller’s middle cover.
