Huge idea here. The coolest materials in the world do not melt and cannot be cut. So it's nearly impossible to manufacture good SiC turbine blades, diamond heat exchangers, B4C or HfC wear parts etc... We're stuck making important parts out of materials that melt or wear away, because we have to cast or cut them in order to make them into useful shapes. Light Materials is a totally new way of building with extreme materials. Large and intricate shapes grown quickly from cheap precursors. They're already producing parts with incredible properties that could unlock big pieces of Eli's sci-fi future. An incredible team to join, extreme upside and a great environment for anyone obsessed with building new things.
