@izs NPCs discover thinking by imitating ChatGPT.

@izs For those needing a simple breakdown of the bicameral mind.

@izs @matt_emp "LLMs aren't conscious like humans, they're just predicting the next token"

@izs post could be a joke (hopefully), but the number of comments thinking that being able to (intentionally or not) model and simulate another mind, process etc is schizo is as or more concerning tbh.

@izs Thanks for posting this! I hadn't heard of the term "bicameral mind", so I did a quick search and came across this helpful video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgTnoowcXDI

Very interesting theory.

@Valuable @izs Isnt it some crazy percentage of people report no inner monologue.

Like when reading a book they dont mentally pronounce the words

In general, most people are retarded

@EpicFailGuyEFG @izs Can't wait for the discussions on whether people who think by simulating ChatGPT in their head are actually conscious or not

@izs Just humans predicting what an LLM will answer. As the algorithm gets better we may achieve HGI and be as smart as any LLM.

I predict that over the next decade we get used to having AI voice in our heads. The “Singularity” is just the process of merging with this AI voice, implanting it as a BCI, then increasing bio-silicon bandwidth until we move onto the same substrate with the same accordances.

@Valuable @izs Yeah but most of us knew what an internal monologue was *before* using ChatGPT.

@marro_bert @EpicFailGuyEFG @izs Westworld season 1. Bootstrapping AI consciousness by planting a human voice in their head. Now the NPCs are waking up thanks to AI voices in their head.

@izs Once people start realizing that npcs exist in real life. Youre life gets easier. They do not think for themselves they have no human substance. They go through life without thinking theres more than what they just see. I've met like 3 people like that in my life. Scary

@izs This is just conversing with the inner monologue (which some people have and others don't)

It's also known as the Rubber-Duck method.

It's hilarious that people now consider that a "chatGPT in your head". :'D
