What I see in the report, released today. Cybercab will make me money. It is ahead of the Chinese. In all ways. I am writing this to you from a San Diego freeway. It is magic. The announcement I was hoping for is “where do I send my money?” If Elon can get a three hour drive to $25 then I would take it to San Francisco every time. My spreadsheets show that even at that low level Tesla and owner would still be making money. Uber is about $200. Wholesale cost is about $30. Tesla’s cost is about $5 for a three hour ride. So the price will start higher, making even more money. Irena and I wrote about the economics of Robotaxi eight years ago.
