Hugging Face's compact open-source bipedal robot learns tricks via SDK.
Bloomberg reports Hugging Face unveiled Microduck, a $400 bipedal robot developed with Pollen Robotics and manufactured by Seeed Studio. The 1.7lb, 10-inch-tall device runs an open-source SDK that lets users teach it new behaviors. It sings and includes a roller skates module. Co-founder Thom Wolf said the design draws from 1990s aesthetics and the Sony Walkman. One observer called it the Raspberry Pi or Lego Mindstorms of the AI era.
