i use an OpenClaw agent runni g GPT 5.5. on a VPS that can read/write journal entries I host there to track my fitness/diet goals. i find it's a lot easier to write it take a picture of ehat im eating, have the agent give a decent estimate of the cals/sodium/sugar and log it than using an app. plus it's all stored in my own custom server. i also use it to do research abkut stuff when im out and about like looking up the history of places im in, housing prices, etc. deeper dive stuff for when i can't go down rabbit holws myself

I have my own custom stack and I got it working pretty decent. Basically gave it tools to see previous conversations Vectorize all the documents Auto-capture based on user message and agent auto-stores when needed Give hint that memory exists but let it fetch as required. Start with preferences, etc. you need to own the harness to do this
