Whatnot Raises $545M Series G at $20B Valuation
Live commerce platform backed by Y Combinator announces Series G funding from a16z and Kleiner Perkins.
Whatnot announced a $545 million Series G round that values the company at $20 billion. The live commerce platform started in Y Combinator's W20 batch selling authenticated Funko Pops and now runs the largest live shopping marketplace in North America, the UK, and Europe. In the first half of 2026 it already exceeded its full 2025 GMV of more than $8 billion while buyer numbers more than doubled. a16z, which invested in 2021, and Kleiner Perkins both participated. The company posted that the capital will support seller growth. Fortune confirmed the round and noted the valuation nearly doubles the prior mark.
