@distributionat yeah i think we're in a world today where having a billion dollars does way less for your happiness than people intuitively think it should, and that may be not true in 3 years, it might do more than people intuitively think it should

@nickcammarata I'm not confident about this either, but it seems to me that the joke, "'Claude, make me a trillion dollars. Make no mistakes' only works if you have a billion dollars" is possibly more directionally correct than Universal-Basic-ASI.

@distributionat though tbh i think we'll solve happiness in general soon, the problem was always just clinging to the present moment sensory experience, it's way more monocausal than people think and so it'll be more easily solved than people think
