@GergelyOrosz Haven't come across any hallucinations myself. What other instances have you seen? Perplexity's still my go-to. Their search mode has the fastest responses and I'm a big fan of Model Council + Computer.
@GergelyOrosz Yeah it sucks now. I used to love perplexity for the fast search results. Even “deep research” is not deep
@GergelyOrosz the collapse of perplexity should be studied. I give the fat indian ceo 3 months before they fire him
@GergelyOrosz Yup, garbage app.
The ongoing degradation of Perplexity needs to be studied. A year ago, this search engine did not hallucinate as much as today. I asked what World Cup game was on last Wednesday, and it hallucinated that there were none, after searching and finding England vs Argentina...
Why do I pay for Perplexity? IDK, really Here's the search result, where Perplexity finds the right result, then hallucinates the wrong answer Feels like every time I use it, I need to triple check results as hallucinations are more frequent https://www.perplexity.ai/search/f2d27dc5-b6c4-4cd9-8cbe-12ad898006a9
@GergelyOrosz Several things didn't go well in this specific thread. We have a work stream that will target better evals for our models on time, understanding, and recency. Appreciate you sharing the hallucination.
