@BenGeskin They seem to be generating a splat using their ml-sharp model then using your user orientation as input to generate anything missing from the splat at your new view, very cool use of a splat.

@neilcybart @BenGeskin Wow, shocked to hear that. I imagine this pushes what you find acceptable to the limits though? I feel like any further than this and it'd be considered too much editing and "regeneration" of a person and the subtle details would start to be off.

@BenGeskin Oh god it’s horrible. Can AI be turned off completely? I wanted to update to iPhone 18 this Fall but if it’s not possible, I’ll stick to my iPhone 13

@TechCrunch Spatial Reframing on-device means photo quality is now chip-dependent. Apple just made matching impossible without matching the silicon. That's the moat.
