Korea JoongAng Daily reports that much of the metaverse vision—a digital world for work, socializing and play—lies abandoned after billions of dollars spent. But the publisher says the dream persists in one corner of K-pop, which is still betting on what it calls virtual reality's “iPhone moment.”
