Mivi is moving beyond audio accessories with its first smartphone, the Mivi One 5G. Digit reports that the base 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs Rs 14,999, while 6GB and 8GB versions rise to Rs 15,999 and Rs 16,999.

All three models use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor and a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone carries a 6,000mAh battery with 18W charging, a 50-megapixel main rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It ships with Android 16, and Mivi says operating-system updates will continue through Android 18.

A value-focused first step

The One 5G is 9.15mm thick, weighs 210 grams and has an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. Five colors are planned: blue, pink, green, burgundy and navy blue. Business Standard also reports that the device is manufactured in India and that Mivi wants to develop more of its smartphone engineering domestically over the next year.

Sales are scheduled to begin October 8 through Flipkart. The specifications position the phone around battery capacity and price rather than a high-resolution display or fast charging; real-world camera, performance and endurance claims will require independent testing.
