Pollen Robotics Releases Microduck Open-Source Biped Robot
Compact biped with sensors and an open-source stack for training custom behaviors.
Thomas Wolf of Hugging Face posted experiments on X with the Microduck from Pollen Robotics, including an image detector that follows a laser pointer. According to Pollen Robotics, the 25 cm open-source biped has 15 actuators, camera, LiDAR, grasping beak and pre-trained policies for walking, roller skating, object pickup and recovery. Thomas Wolf described it as a $399 pre-order robot that runs an open-source stack supporting reinforcement learning training in simulation.
