Roon, a pseudonymous OpenAI technical staff member, wrote that Trump is the superintelligence president whose team will be remembered only for brokering a bilateral agreement with China on pacing the frontier. Such a deal would make Trump one of the best presidents and earn a Nobel peace prize. Miles Brundage, AI policy researcher and Executive Director of AVERI, shared an article he co-authored with Grace Werner on the topic. Multiple replies on X, including from Beff Jezos and others, questioned whether any such pact represents a viable equilibrium or expressed doubt about its prospects.
