Intel Arc B580 may reach end of life in rumored Arc Pro B50 shift

On Nov. 2, hardware leaker Haze2K1 posted that Intel's Arc B580 gaming graphics card might reach end of life as Intel prioritizes higher-margin Arc Pro B50 workstation products for AI inference. Haze2K1 framed the change as a possibility, not a decision announced by Intel.

The cards use the same BMG-G21 graphics processor, according to VideoCardz's WhyCry. VideoCardz lists 20 Xe2 cores and 12GB of GDDR6 memory for the B580, compared with 16 Xe2 cores and 16GB for the workstation B50. Shared silicon does not establish that Intel has changed production priorities.

WhyCry wrote that no Intel Product Discontinuation Notice had been published and considered an official end-of-life designation unlikely at that point. Wccftech's Sarfraz Khan also traced the claim to Haze2K1 and called it apparent speculation. VideoCardz raised the possibility of B580 shortages, but its article described a possible production reduction, not an established change in supply.
