@kimmonismus this is a very, very stupid objection in a world where a fixed unit of intelligence is hyperdeflating at a rate of roughly 10x every year.
if a task is "too expensive" literally just wait. the frontier gets constantly cheaper.

He’s spent over $330 MILLION so far on just PAC spending with a PAC @elonmusk created HIMSELF called @americapac and which was used as a massive ground game for @realDonaldTrump across the USA. Elon purchased @X and was found liable for cheating @X investors during the $44 billion dollar purchase. He then used @X as a megaphone for the conservative movement. To help elect @realDonaldTrump and other republicans and to help pass their legislation like the save act. @elonmusk has posted about it and forwards @X posts about the save act. Meanwhile Elon accepts more than $38 billion in taxpayer funds via contracts from @SpaceX @xai @Tesla from working for @NASA @FAANews @USDOD etc etc.
The $330 spent on the elections was money well spent. The @dojphofficial led by @realDonaldTrump just intervened on @xai behalf in a civil case in Mississippi. @grok is now being used as a weapon to attack targets in Iran. So they use this technicality to intervene on @xai behalf when @xai has no permits to operate mobile gas turbines to power its AI data centers legally. The @dojphofficial never steps in for a private company. But since @elonmusk is friends with @realDonaldTrump and helped him get elected and paid $330 million to PAC to help republicans get elected. It was money well spent.
During the recent debut of @elonmusk stock. They were able to get @SECGov to change the rules for HIS COMPANY right @grok so they could appear on the @Nasdaq an entire year ahead of time when it’s meant to protect citizens and their money. But the rules were changed for Elon and @SpaceX again.
There’s lots of things @elonmusk seems to get favoritism on. Meanwhile @grok is BIASED against progressives. See screenshot.

Except that Anthropic turned a profit recently? And Codex has been growing like crazy, so they are subsidizing quite a bit now for growth and for competing with Claude, but that will surely end in q3/q4 of this year once they've caught up more & then Codex will likely turn a profit too.
@kimmonismus Lecun is just talking. Lecun and his team have caused Meta to fall behind in this competition despite all the resources it has. Lecun should first repay the investments his company received.
