@rauchg motivating habits or just creating new hypes? open apis are cool but let's not forget how many of these 'agent-friendly' services will charge an arm and leg at scale.
@rauchg the unix bit is the real thread. mcp servers are basically stdin/stdout with a typed schema. we reinvented pipes 50 years later and it works

yes the last 30 years of computer science has been small room fart sniffers. It can all be so simple really, we’re going back and fixing the timeline. Os should be dumb! Bring back simplicity in all forms everything we have rn is fake

@rauchg I built trading bots. Signal APIs had to be bulletproof: no grey areas. The agent can't call your support team.

It is, but at the same time, everything is getting commoditized. What is there to compete on besides infrastructure and closed/proprietary data access?
Great to be in the position at Vercel, but for a solopreneur, there is soon nothing left besides doing some AI-agency stuff, where the majority of the time goes into direct communication (and ofc IRL acquisition) with the client.
